Marine Conservation - give a gift membership to support marine conservation and help the sea creatures

If you're searching for a gift for someone who loves the sea creatures on our planet and who is interested in marine conservation, then here are a few organisations which are working to help protect marine animals and life.
The Marine Conservation Society
Membership will help the MCS establish marine protected areas where wildlife can flourish.  It enables the organisation to clear our coasts and seas of the rubbish killing seabirds, dolphins, turtles and wildlife, and to stop overfishing.  The Marine Conservation Society is the backbone between the Big Beach Cleanup weekend in Septmeber.  From £5 a month, your gift membership can support this vital work.

Give them a membership to WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation

Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust (HWDT)

Since 1994, the Trust has been working hard to conserve whales, dolphins and porpoises of the west coast of Scotland through its research and education programmes.  This is a small, locally based organisation, so you really can make a difference with a subscription.  You can make an annual payment of £20 per adult or £1.50 a month for an adult.  Join today.

The Shark Trust
Sharks have lived in the world’s oceans for over 400 million years.  Within just a few decades, humanity has put many species to risk and dirven others to extinction.  Membership to the Shark Trust helps raise public awareness of the conservation needs of the shark, give them legal protection, research shark biology & ecology and develop international management and conservation strategies.  This is a great gift for shark lovers - or you can also adopt a shark (which I did for my husband and he loved his adoption gift).  Click here to join now
Wildlife Trusts
There are 46 local groups of the Wildlife Trust around the UK, and many of them will be very involved in marine conservation.  The Wildlife Trust aims to protect and restore natural habitats, and the species that live in them, across the UK.  They have a partiuclar section called Living Seas on their website, which describes how they are involved in protecting marine animals and their habitats.  Help ensure today's Living Seas are brought back to life.  Join your loved one to their local Wildlife Trust today
Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust
Wetlands include areas such as inter-tidal deltas, saltwater swamps, flood plains, lakes, fens, meadows and ponds. Your membership will support work to protect and conserve wetlands, so vitally important to many species such as ducks, geese, swans. There are 9 reserves members can visit but the real value of this gift lies in the support you are giving a not-much known about conservation area and all the wildlife which depends on it.  Click here to join
