Make a Promise to Nature on 29 February with the National Trust
Posted on
On 29th February, the National Trust have a Leap for Nature day (as it's a leap year). The idea is that as many of us as possible make a promise to help nature, whether we build a bug hotel in the garden or reduce our food packaging, whether we help clean up a beach or the countryside, or plant wildlife friendly flowers to encourage bees and butterflies. We could choose to watch what energy we're using extra carefully or Nature has never needed help so badly, so please take a look at the National Trust's website and find out more about making a promise to nature. I'm revamping my garden this year; it's not very big but I want to give it over to nature and wildlife. That's one of the things I want to do. I figure that the human race has taken over enough of nature's places for its own ends, so it's time to start giving it back to nature and wildlife where we can. |
