World Book Day at the National Trust
Posted on
World Book Day in March is being celebrated at over 20 National Trust properties around the country this year, so this is a great chance to get the kids out and involved in something different! There are all sorts of things happening. For instance, you could step back to the 1960’s at Sudbury’s World Book Day weekend, enjoy exclusive access to the conservation team at Belton House in Lincolnshire, listen to tall tales, get creative with book-themed crafts and meet some of your favourite storybook characters at Souter Lighthouse (Tyne & Wear), or head to Ightham Mote to explore the pleasures of books and reading by following the story of the gingerbread man in the garden trail.
Members of the National Trust enjoy free entry to over 500 special places and there are lots of events, workshops, fun things to do and ways to get involved (charges may apply) - you never know what is going on under your nose in your area with the National Trust! |
